The fund sponsored an exhibition in Brussels, gallery Lempertz, of photographic works by Marie-Jo Lafontaine, on the occasion of the première in BOZAR of the concerto for cello and orchestra by Piet Swerts, entitled Sehnsucht. The composition was inspired by her art works with the same title. Both works were created in memory of Germaine Lijnen, the mother of the fund’s initiators.
The exhibition presented a panorama of expressions mostly buried in our memories and developed a complicit gaze, from childhood to the final day of life. It made link between visual art, poetry and music.
